IAAF name, brand switch to World Athletics completed

LAUSANNE: The International Association of Athletics Federations is now officially World Athletics, a statement said. 

"We're now World Athletics," the sport's international governing body said on its website. "Welcome to the new World Athletics website, the place to come for all things about our wonderful sport. We'll be bringing you new features about athletes and the sport, as well as making it easier to find the things we know you love."

IAAF re-elects Coe, Sumariwalla for 2nd term
MUMBAI: IAAF president Sebastian Coe was elected for a second term at the 52nd IAAF Congress in Doha on Wednesday while Ximena Restrepo, Sergey Bubka, Geoffrey Gardner and Nawaf Bin Mohammed Al Saud were elected vice-presidents. All 203 voting members of Congress voted for Coe; there were no abstained votes.

Seiko extends 34-year IAAF partnership
TOKYO: Seiko and the IAAF Friday announced the renewal of their long-standing partnership for a further 10 years, until the end of 2029. Seiko will provide its state-of-the-art timing and measurement services to all 37 World Athletics Series events during the period, including five World Athletics Championships.

IAAF Diamond League to undergo changes from 2020 season
