HI to revive Hockey India League; names commercial partner

NEW DELHI: Hockey India has confirmed plans to relaunch the Hockey India League (HIL) early next year, announcing Big Bang Media Ventures Pvt Ltd as its exclusive commercial and marketing partner agency for the event.

For the record, HIL ran for five seasons from 2013-2017 before being shelved.

HIL to return in 2019
BHUBANESWAR: The Hockey India League (HIL), the 2018 of which was scrapped, will return in 2019, according to Hockey India CEO Elena Norman.  The organisers had claimed that postponing the league had been necessitated to undertake a review of the last five seasons. The 2019 edition, the dates of which are yet to be finalised, will serve as the season- ending event to a busy international calendar, reports PTI.
