BHUBANESWAR: Men's hockey chief coach Graham Reid, along with his support staff, Monday collectively submitted their resignations Monday following Team India's forgettable 9th-place finish at the just-concluded 2023 Hockey World Cup. 

Reid, a former Australian midfielder who took over in 2019 and played a key role in the team winning a Bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, analytical coach Greg Clark and scientific advisor Mitchell David Pemberton, tendered their resignations on Monday morning. All three will be serving their notice period over the next month.

NEW DELHI: Tata Steel Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hockey India to become an Official Partner of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar - Rourkela.   The 15th edition of the event will take place in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from January 13 to January 29, 2023.

BHUBANESWAR: Hockey India on Friday announced a Trophy Tour in various states of the country ahead of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, which is slated to be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. The tour will officially kick off on December 5 with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik handing over the trophy to Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey in Bhubaneswar.

NEW DELHI: Former India captain Dilip Tirkey, one of the most-capped India internationals, on Sunday filed his nomination for the post of Hockey India (HI) president. Sunday was the last date for filing nomination papers. The 44-year-old player-turned-politician and administrator is reportedly the frontrunner in the race to head the national hockey governing body.

NEW DELHI: The Committee of Administrators currently running Hockey India has appointed the returning officer and assistant returning officer for the conduct of the upcoming elections. Ajay Nayak, former Chief Electoral Officer, Government of Bihar, will be assuming the position of returning officer. Additionally, AK Majumdar has been appointed as the assistant returning officer.

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday, while decliningd to interfere with a Delhi High Court order, which placed Hockey India under a three-member Committee of Administrators, asked the CoA to take steps in connection with modifying the constitution, so that executive body elections could be expedited.
