NEW DELHI: The talks involving stakeholders of Indian football and representatives from FIFA and AFC have reportedly confirmed the roadmap for Indian professional football signed on to in 2019.

As per that, the promotion-relegation process from theI-League was supposed to kick in from the 2022-23 season onwards, while for the Indian Super league it was to be implemented from the 2024-25 season.

I-League to have 12 teams next season, no demotion: Sunando

MUMBAI: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has confirmed that the Hero I-League will have 12 teams next season and there will be no demotion from one season only. The AIFF plans to use the 2022-2023 season to have an extended home and away Hero Second Division League, and the second division winners will get promoted to the I-League from the 2023-24 season onwards.

I-League onboards Funatix Club as fantasy football partner

NEW DELHI: Funatix Club announced that its Real Manager platform will become the official fantasy football partner of the Hero I-League in India. Financial terms and the partnership tenure were not disclosed. Plan for I-League winner in ISL from '22-23 season intact: Das
