HERZOGENAURACH, Germany: PUMA and Formula 1 have signed an agreement which will make the sports company the official supplier at F1 races, granting the brand the right to produce F1 branded apparel, footwear and accessories. 

PUMA will also equip F1 staff at track and create F1 fanwear that targets the sport’s different audiences with lifestyle and motorsport collections. The contract includes exclusive rights to sell F1 fanwear and fanwear of all ten teams around the race circuit starting 2024.

SEATTLE: Amazon announced on Friday that its subsidiary, Amazon Web Services (AWS), has signed an agreement with Formula 1, which will ensure that the latter will move a major chunk of its infrastructure to Amazon’s premises.

MUMBAI: Saudi rogue broadcaster BeOutQ, under the cosh from FIFA, UEFA and CAF (Africa's football governing body) for stealing the live feed from Qatar-based TV network beIN Sport, has now extended its thievery to include Formula 1.  No prizes for guessing that F1 rights for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region also rest with beIN Sport.

MARSEILLE: Formula 1 has announced the F1 Marseille Festival, which will mark the sport’s return to France after a decade.  The fan fest will be held alongside the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix de France 2018 from the 22nd to 24th of June in the city.

LONDON: Formula 1 extended its string of innovations this season, announcing on Friday the launch of F1 Fan Voice, an online initiative for fans to share their views about the sport and suggestions.  It can be on the website www.f1fanvoice.com through surveys, polls, forums and blogs. The idea is built behind bringing the management closer to the fans, hearing their thoughts out to take well-informed decisions.

LONDON: All the subscribers of Formula 1's OTT streaming service - F1 TV - will have an opportunity to gain access to footage covering the history of the sport from the 1970s and early 1980s.  According to a report in f1i.com, Formula 1 will acquire the footage from well-known production company Brunswick. The events were filmed by a local broadcaster earlier and FOM's own TV production crews from 2001 onwards.

LONDON: Formula 1 team McLaren announced on Sunday a multi-year partnership agreement with online brokerage firm, FxPro.  The McLaren MCL33 will feature prominent FxPro branding, highlighting the company’s reputation as the best in their business. Over 250 million orders have been executedand up to 7000 orders are processed each second at FxPro.

MUMBAI: Liberty Media, the company that owns Formula 1 racing since 2017, has reported an increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2018, according to a report in deadline.com.  The company earned $131 million, vis-à-vis a loss of $21 million a year ago. Revenue shot up to $1.5 billion, 9% more from last year’s total revenue of $1.4 billion.
