DUBLIN: Ireland will host India when the Asian juggernauts return to Malahide for a three-match T20I series this August.

To complete the summer men’s fixture announcements, the three-match World Cup Super League series against Bangladesh will be played in Chelmsford with tickets now on sale.

The return of the world’s top-ranked T20I side for a second consecutive year represents a vote of confidence in the talent and competitiveness of the current Irish side and a fitting end to the home international fixtures this summer.

DUBLIN: Cricket Ireland has announced a number of new sponsors for its men’s cricket team. The the front of the jersey features Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX, while online fantasy gaming brand ‘Playing11’ and sports marketers ‘ITW’ feature on the shirt sleeves. The first match that the new jersey featured in was the first One-Day International between Ireland men and South Africa men on 11 July.

MUMBAI: Woods Entertainment and GS Holding have partnered with Cricket Ireland to introduce a Europe-centred T20 League.  The league will be played in Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland from 30th August to 22nd September.

LONDON: Ireland’s opening day in Test cricket against Pakistan turned out to be a major dampener, with rain calling off the entire day’s play on Friday and no coin toss held at all. According to a report in UK’s The Guardian, no play ensured that Cricket Ireland suffered losses of $89,700 as they needed to refund 5100 tickets bought by spectators to celebrate the occasion.
