Star Sports, BCCI launch first-ever IPL Trophy Tour

MUMBAI: The BCCI and Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL) competition kickstarted the inaugural VIVO IPL 2019 Trophy Tour in New Delhi on Sunday in an endeavour to bring fans closer to their favourite cricket tournament.

The tour has been made even more interesting for fans with an artificial intelligence (AI) powered training installation that is developed by Google with which they can learn trademark shots and actions of their favourite cricketers and try to mimic and compare their posture, form and movements to get the accuracy spot on.

The action will move to Bengaluru on 22 March, Chennai on 23 March, Mumbai on 24 March, Kolkata on 30 March, Hyderabad on 31 March, Jaipur on 6 April and finally Chandigarh on 7 April.

Earlier, it was reported that Tata Harrier, the official partner of this year’s IPL, will engage in special branding activations during the Delhi and Bengaluru legs of the Trophy Tour.
