Marseille fan fest to mark F1 return to France

MARSEILLE: Formula 1 has announced the F1 Marseille Festival, which will mark the sport’s return to France after a decade. 

The fan fest will be held alongside the Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix de France 2018 from the 22nd to 24th of June in the city. 

Fans can attend the event free of cost and will witness an F1 Live car run on the Friday the 22nd. Former French racing driver Franck Montagny and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing ambassador David Coulthard will race on the streets with a Renault E20 2012 edition and Red Bull RB7 respectively.

Since Renault belongs to France, F1 will pay tribute to the iconic car manufacturer through the Renault Passion Parade on its 120th anniversary as 14 historic cars will also take to the city’s streets.

The F1 Fan Park will be located on Marseille’s waterfront. Throughout the three days, fans will be provided with entertainment, live streaming of each stage of the Grand Prix, other F1 experiences and more.
