TCM wins 3-yr commercial rights for KCA Presidents Cup T20

THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) would be resuming its cricket activities with the Kodak KCA Presidents Cup T20 tournament, to be held at the SD College Cricket ground, Alappuzha from the March 6 to 23.

TCM Sports Management Pvt Ltd will be associating with KCA as a commercial partner involving in the branding, digital promotion & broadcasting of matches LIVE. KCA has entered into a three-year MoU with the sports marketing company for this purpose.

TCM also announced Kodak as title sponsor for the KCA Presidents Cup T20. Kodak is an American television manufacturer being marketed and distributed by Qthree Ventures in India.

This inaugural T20 tournament will be an annual affair involving six teams selected by a committee constituted by KCA for this purpose. There shall be no franchisees or owners. Each team consists of 14 players and 2 support staff. There will also be 4 players “on-call” for each team, if replacements are required.

The competition shall be double headers (round robin) league followed by play-off - semi finals and final. Total of 33 matches will be played during the 18 day competition. All are day-games (two matches/day) with white ball, colored clothing and played as per BCCI playing conditions. 

As the tournament is being played without the presence of spectators, the matches can be watched LIVE exclusively on FanCode by downloading the FanCode App or streaming on the web: www.fancode.com.

All players, support staff and concerned officials shall be brought under a bio-secure environment to minimize the risk of infection through external contact. Strict adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols will be ensured. For this purpose before the commencement of the tournament, KCA will conduct  on-line workshops for players/officials, to educate them on the SoPs and on-ground precautionary measures.

The teams are a mixture of youth and experience. Many prominent state / India A / IPL players will be in action. The tournament is expected to produce keen contests and provide a platform for many aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills.
