Indian national Yoni Patel, who owns a cricket team in the unsanctioned Legends Cricket League in Sri Lanka, is set to be indicted for match-fixing along with compatriot P Akash, PTI quotes a Colombo magistrate's court official as having said.

This was after Patel's application for bail was refused by the court last Friday and the travel ban imposed on the duo was extended by one month, the official revealed.

MADRID: The Spanish football players' union (AFE) on Monday maintained its position against holding a LaLiga match between Barcelona and Girona in the United States in January next year. AFE president David Aganzo made the announcement after a meeting with LaLiga chairman Javier Tebas to discuss the matter, and they are expected to meet again next week, reports EFE news agency.

BENGALURU: The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has alerted the BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of bookies attempting to fix matches by approaching players in the ongoing Karnataka Premier League (KPL) T20 competition in the state, Hindustan Times reports. LONDON: Reebok, the global fitness and lifestyle footwear, apparel and equipment brand confirmed on Tuesday that it has settled its dispute with CrossFit Inc. over their licensing agreement and the deal is expected to move forward till 2020 and beyond if mutually agreed upon. However, Reebok will be paying an undisclosed fee to CrossFit for the settlement of the disputed royalties.
