With each passing day, fresh revelations are coming out about Fairstreet Sports (FSS), which focuses a more and more sorry light on the capabilities of the Indian organiser of MotoGP Bharat (Indian Grand Prix), to deliver an event of such scale. 

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) had said late last month that it would recommend the blacklisting of FSS for its failure to pay around Rs 31 crore ($3.71 million) to different vendors engaged for readying the track at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.

Zee Entertainment incurred Rs 432 crore ($52 million) in merger-related costs during financial years 2023-24 and 2022-23 due to its failed merger deal with Sony Corp’s Indian media unit, Culver Max Entertainment, per The Economic Times. The merger scheme between Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) Viacom18, its wholly owned subsidiary Digital18 and The Walt Disney Company’s Star India has been admitted by the Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). In an order passed on May 7, Viacom18, as part of internal restructuring, has proposed to transfer the various businesses conducted by it into its wholly-owned subsidiary, namely Digital18.
