MONACO: World Athletics has launched its own fantasy game - Fantasy World Athletics.

The new fantasy game was launched at the ongoing World Athletics Championships Oregon22.

Putting players in the shoes of selectors, they will manage a team of athletes and score points based on their real-life performances in Oregon.

As well as providing players with the platform to compare their athletics knowledge against fellow track and field fans from around the world, participants will also play for a top prize of a trip to the World Athletics Championships Budapest 23.

AUCKLAND: New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Tuesday announced a ground-breaking agreement, which will see men and women players paid the same match fees. New Zealand’s professional women’s and men’s cricketers will receive the same pay for the same work on the same day, in a landmark agreement struck between NZC, the six Major Associations, and the New Zealand Cricket Players Association.

MUMBAI: Finally a verdict on a case the richest cricket board in the world has dragged out for ten years (and counting). The Bombay High Court ruled Thursday that the BCCI is liable to pay employer’s contribution to the Employee State Insurance (ESI) as it is engaged in commercial activities and earning profits from the same, and hence covered under the ESI Act.
