MUMBAI: The value of the Indian Premier League as a business has reached $16.4 billion (INR 135,000 crores), up by 6.5%, reflecting the continued strength and global appeal of the league, according to the 2024 IPL Brand Valuation Study, released Wednesday. 

The stand-alone brand value of the IPL has increased by 6.3% to $3.4 billion (INR 28,000 crores) over the past year, per the report into the business enterprise and brand values of the IPL issued by global investment bank Houlihan Lokey.

The 2024 edition of the TATA Indian Premier League is estimated to generate $99.31 million (Rs 827.4 crore) from sponsorship deals, according to data and analytics company GlobalData. The IPL’s top sponsorship is the tournament’s five-year title rights deal with TATA Group, worth an estimated $60.15 million (Rs 500cr) annually. The deal is almost four times higher than the next highest deal.
