Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has acquired the television and digital rights to broadcast and stream all New Zealand-based Blackcaps and White Ferns matches into India and associated territories for the next seven years.

It bears noting that SPNI’s digital rights in India will be co-exclusive with incumbent rights holder Amazon Prime for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. 

While financial details were not disclosed, Economic Times reported that the deal value was in the $90 million to $100 million ball park.

MUMBAI: Times Internet has expanded its leading cricket distribution positions in North America, the Middle East/North Africa, and Southeast Asia regions by acquiring the exclusive rights to broadcast India’s home bilateral series from September 2023 through March 2028. STAMFORD, Conn.: WWE, now a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings, and NBCUniversal have agreed to a five-year domestic media rights partnership that will bring Friday Night SmackDown back to USA Network beginning October 2024.  Additionally, beginning in the 2024/25 season, WWE will produce four primetime specials per year that will air on NBC, marking the first time WWE will air on the network in primetime.

MUMBAI: Eurosport India, from the house of Warner Bros Discovery, Wednesday announced the acquisition of broadcast rights for the upcoming 49th King’s Cup 2023, which will feature the Indian national football team. The tournament will be live streamed on FIFA+.  The tournament is played in the September FIFA international window.
