Singh joins English football’s governing body after five years with the United States Golf Association. As chief commercial officer, he led the USGA’s global commercial strategy for its assets including the major men’s and women’s U.S. Open championships.

LONDON: England's Football Association board has nominated Debbie Hewitt to become the first woman chair of the FA in its 158-year history, with effect from January 2022. Ms Hewitt is set to join the FA 14 months after Greg Clarke resigned from the fallout of making offensive comments on race, gender and sexuality at a parliamentary hearing.

LONDON: Football Association chairman Greg Clarke has stood down with immediate effect in the wake of a series of racist remarks when referring to black players made to UK parliamentarians.  The comments came as he was talking about the racist abuse of players by trolls on social media to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) select committee via video link.

LONDON: Britain's Football Association will launch a new live streaming platform, exclusively dedicated to women’s football, from the start of the 2019-20 season. The FA Player, which will be free to use and available online and via a dedicated mobile app, will provide unprecedented live access to over 150 domestic women’s football fixtures throughout the season.

LONDON: The Premier League is weighing up taking control of the English Women's Super League from the Football Association, British media reported Wednesday. The BBC said Premier League clubs have agreed to conduct a feasibility study into the matter following talks with the FA, which founded the WSL in 2011.

LONDON: England's Football Association (FA) Friday announced results for the 2017/18 season – with total turnover of £376 million ($491.92m) and a record £128 million ($167.46m) invested back into every level of football, for the year ended 31 July 2018. Investment back is up from £127 million in the 2016/17 season and continues to provide great support across English football.
