Pakistan V/S New Zealand Live On Ten Sports

Mumbai,2 November 2009:The United Arab Emirates plays host to the three one day match series between Pakistan and New Zealand.  All the action from the Bank Alfalah Cool& Cool Cup will be live on Ten Sports. (Please check schedule). Commenting on the action will be a strong field of ex cricketers. Geoffrey Boycott, Tony Greig, Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis and Danny Morrison.

This series will be considered to be a home series for Pakistan; it was relocated to the UAE over security fears. The visiting side, New Zealand will be without a coach as the previous coach Andy Moles resigned ahead of the tour. But the team is totally nonplussed, with able captain Daniel Vettori leading his troops. In fact Vettori expressed his relief to be in the UAE away from all the administrative noise back home.

The away hosts (if one could refer to them as that) Pakistan have their own set of issues, the latest being the `perceived’ tension between captain Younus Khan and senior team member Shahid Afridi. Afridi has banished all these reports as baseless rumours and felt that it was about time that matters pertaining to the team should be dealt with in a mature manner.

Both sides are all set to lock horns and prove their supremacy in the fifty over format. The teams are neck to neck in the ICC Cricket Rankings and a win for either side would let them gain the edge over the other. Currently Pakistan are in 5th position with 109 points and New Zealand with one point (110)  ahead are in 4th place. This series promises to have all the firepower to produce and explosive series for the players and supporters alike.
