Jet Airways official carrier of India Intl Regatta

MUMBAI: Jet Airways has signed on as the official carrier of the India International Regatta (IIR) 2009 and will offer special fares to accommodate visitors and sportspersons during the mega event on all routes it operates worldwide.

The airline will also come up with their value added services for sportspersons and tourists visiting the country during the Regatta. The modalities for ticketing are being worked out and should be available soon.

The regatta, scheduled to be held at Chennai from 1-8 November, will see more than 150 sailors from different nations participating in the Optimist and the 29er Classes of boats.

The India International Regatta, which is organised by the Yachting Association of India and hosted by the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association is sponsored by the Volvo Group in India and co sponsored by Tata Teleservices, Xtreme Sailing Products, Singapore and HH Services.

While, IIT Madras, Taj Hotels & Resorts, Chennai Live FM, ET Now, Chennai Times Kalakshetra Foundation and India Boating are the event partners.
