NEW DELHI: Reliance Mobile, ICC Player Rankings sponsor in Test match and ODI cricket, has signed on Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan as brand ambassador for its GSM service for a reported Rs 100 million.

Fresh off the telecom tribunal Tuesday upholding the government’s decision to allow it to offer GSM as well as CDMA services, Reliance Mobile announced a massive reduction in its GSM tariffs for both new and existing subscribers.

A high decibel media campaign is expected to roll out to pump up the volume around its service and the A list Hindi movie star has been signed on for a Rs 100 million fee, industry sources tell SportzPower.

Incidentally, sister company Reliance Big Entertainment's movie arm Big Pictures has the worldwide marketing and distribution rights for the upcoming Hrithik starrer Kites, the most ambitious project yet from Filmkraft, father Rakesh Roshan's production company.
